Our ability as a profession to meet the challenges of the future is directly dependant on maintaining and enhancing the size and vitality of our organized medicine membership. States where our professional associations are strongest feature better environments for the practice of medicine.
I urge you to renew your commitment to organized medicine in Illinois. Through membership you can continue to count on the Illinois State Medical Society and the DuPage County Medical Society to do the following:
• Lobby for public policy that puts you and your patients first
• Fight for meaningful medical liability reform
• Back you in managed care conflicts
• Serve as your advocate and liaison with state agencies, coalitions and health-interest groups
• Provide important education on socio-economic issues and remain a leader in continuing medical education
